I think it makes sense to post a list of Live! enabled games each of us has so we can determine what types of events we would like to hold. So here is my list: Halo 2 Unreal Championship TOCA 2: Race Driver Ghost ReconFinally I just closed on an auction on E-Bay for Official XBOX Magazine demos #17-40 (that's almost 2 dozen discs). If you are looking for the download content for yourself or you would like to try any of the games on these discs please let me know. (I also have 41 & 42). If you would like to consult the contents list you can find it at: www.officialxboxmagazine.com/issues/magazine2002-02-06.htm

I've got Mech Assault 2 also, I love the game in Live!, but unless you get the first shot in with just about any Mech, it seems like you're always the first to DIE!

I can probably pick up Ghost Recon II before the part though. I liked the PC version of that title and I'll probably like the XBOX version.

We should definitely get in some major Ghost Recon 2 action on Friday. I believe DaneroTGAC is back in town and maybe I can get him to play as well.

Last night the following folks joined me for some Ghost Recon 2 and Halo 2 action: Witefeather Metastat TGACcrew Dragunfyre Saberrattler BruntechIt looked like Thundar05 was online as well however he was not responding to our invitations to join. The action was awesome. I particularly enjoyed the fast paced Rockets on Foundation game we played. It was a serious battle between Witefeather and myself but ultimately witefeather took the win. I did have a venerable 10 consecutive kills which is probably the best I've ever done. I would like to thank TGACcrew and Dragunfyre for several of those kills. Those two just seemed to have a good time playing target to my rockets. Subsequent games included Swordball on Lockout in which Dragunfyre took an incredible 30 medals including two for Killing Spree (5 kills or more in a row)! Dreadnaut on Ivory Tower in which the Dreadnaut was Metastat and he got the Berserker 20 Kills in a row. Of course being the Dreadnaut has it's advantages but the rest of us could not get our act together to take Meta down and he took full advantage of his special abilities! Rocketball on Warlock showed that TGACcrew is definitely learning quickly as his kills to killed ratio made everyone else look like amateurs. Considering the hi hit percentages for the rocket games and the low ones for the Oddball games we had a 52.25% hit rate for shots fired. We played 8 games in Halo 2. That isn't bad. I think we can all improve so we would be ready to play in some tournaments and I definitely think that games like crazy king and Oddball give us the variation we need to make our skills well rounded. I'm looking forward to the next game night already. Maybe I can count on a few wins for myself. [glow=yellow,2,300]Thanks again to all who played and congratulations to Dragunfyre for winning 4, Metastat for winning 4, and Witefeather for winning 2.[/glow] There may have been subsequent games after I signed off so if any of you have additional stats to post, please do so.

I agree that Fridays games were awesome, I finally took a crazy king round or two - honestly all I did was observe Metastat's crazy melee style and Incorporated that into my game play. Thanks M.
Aside from that I have to say that my next target is learning the maps, if anyone wants to go on-line weekdays and engage in scenario play to learn the maps I'm game.
Gonna go look at stats now to see how I did on paper.
Oh, and great spree GhostRider - you're badass when you're in the zone!

With our December club meeting only a few short days off I wanted to post a few talk points that I want to make sure we discuss. Please share any additional thoughts you might have or new topics that I have not mentioned.
1.) XBOX 360 - player reviews, problems, games, accessories, etc. I have read a lot of stuff on the various news sites and forums and I have gather some valuable information regarding distribution of new 360s, resolving problems with your 360 or software if you experience them and how to interconnect various devices such as Windows XP PCs, USB mass storage devices, Sony PSPs, Apple iPods and Keyboards and I want to make sure we start an information sharing.
2.) XBOX - talk about upcoming games, accessories, etc. *** Also I would like to propose a donation program for all those of you who have 360s and who plan to get rid of your generation 1 XBOXes *** Rather than trading it or selling it I would like to see these working systems go to children who either need some extra fun at the holidays (i.e. they are sick or are under-privileged). I haven't contacted any charities yet but maybe someone in the club has some experience with this sort of thing and could help out. Let me know what your thoughts are.
3.) XBOX Live!/XBOX.COM - talk about the changes to these services and the new features implemented (i.e. .NET Passport integration, forums, silver and gold level memberships, etc.)
4.) Winter LAN Event planning - we have a lot of preparation to do to get ready for the Winter LAN Event. There are two systems now, and we would like to make sure we have a full house of players. We need to discuss promoting the event in the local gaming community and really generating excitement. We also need to talk about how to organize the event. The fall event ended up being very informal and it lacked organization (I take responsibility for this and would like assistance from other members at the Winter event). Finally we need to talk about prizes and whether we are interested in having them and how we would like to go about generating funds to purchase them (i.e. fund raiser, entrance fee, other ideas).
5.) Web site - Iceman183 has worked so hard on getting the blogspot and this proboard working but now that we have our own URL XBOXTEAMROCHESTER.COM and Thundar05 has volunteered to host it on his web server we really need to develop our own website. I would like to assemble a team of members who are skilled at website design and implementation and come up with something really cool. Iceman183 will most likely take a leading role in this so if you have any ideas prior to the meeting, be sure to send him a private message.
Again if you have any other topics that you would like to discuss please post them or send me a message. I want to encourage everyone to participate!
