The LAN Party was a blast! Special thanks go out to Thundar05 and Bruntech for doing so much on the setup. Also thanks to Goddfrey for assisting in the refreshments. The Halo 2 action was extremely intense and Crimson Rootz owned all of us with the only expection maybe going to BeardChewer. Iceman183 challenged Crimson to a one on one which humbled Iceman183 although both were very good sports. We saw some Ghost Recon 2 action with a couple of different scenarios. Thanks for Bruntech for setting up those challenges. Burnout 3, Doom 3, Star Wars Battlefront and Def Jam Fight for New York had some action going on and if you like retro gaming there was a bit of Mario Cart over at BeardChewer's rig. LSS, Witefeather, and Metastat were definitely on game in both Halo 2 and Ghost Recon 2. Metastat and Danero busted it up in Burnout 3. I took a few pot shots with the chain gun at Godfrey in Doom 3. We played from about 2PM until 10PM and had pizza and wings. We also discussed the idea of the next event. I am hoping that we can schedule something for January. I would also like to make this a true event and in order to do that we absolutely need 16 players. Unfortunately we didn't have 16 registered players so this wasn't really the organized event I'd hoped for. For Halo2 and many other games it would be nice if we could setup pods of 4 players in a pod. We had plenty of room so we really need players. Throw out some ideas on how we can get the word out for the next event so we can get at least the 16.

Hey all, just now got a chance to send my thanks to the organizers of the LAN party, That was a fantastic event and I'd like to see more just like it!! I can't say enough about the gameplay -I learned so much from beardchewer, crimsonred (sorry forgot most of your gamertag), ghostriderTAG, and Bruntech - special nod to Iceman183 for biting the bullet for the rest of us - way to take the tiger by the tail dude! (LOL) and another nod to the guys who organised the event - it was smooth from beginning to end and the venue was perfect. Speaking of that, biggest thanks of all goes out to Thundar05 for throwing out the spread - Many thanks! I hope we can come back!!
Ok, got to go polish up on my Halo2 skills so I can stay out of crimsonreds crosshairs for a little while longer.
BTW - when are the "I killed Justin" T-shirts shipping :-)

Hi everyone,
Like everyone else, I also had a great time at our "event".
While Ghostrider, Thundar, and myself had planned and hoped for a better turnout (16 players), I'm pretty sure we were close to that number when all was said and done.
My hat's off to everyone for some great gaming, and yes, props to "those of you" who single handedly showed me that I was indeed, not the greatest Halo2 player in the world (you know who you are, and so does everyone else).... ;D
GR,Thundar, and myself are already in the preliminary planning stages for our next event, tentatively planned to happen sometime after the 1st of the year. As always, if anyone has any ideas as to how we can make these team events better, please feel free to let us know.
Again, thanks to everyone who came out, and I hope you all had a great time! Sounds like most of you did!
Look forward to seeing you all at our next event...
Iceman183 ;D
